Captain Dan Hanley (retired) was a pilot his entire career, first as a ten year US naval aviator and then as a 25-year United Airlines pilot. Over a 35-year career span he flew 15 different aircraft accruing over 20,000 flight hours. In the aftermath of 9/11 in 2002/2003, as a B-777 captain, he began reporting safety and security concerns and other issues to his union and company management which were repeatedly stonewalled by the company. Although he was forewarned by his union to cease doing this, he persisted and, in mid-2003, was removed from the flight schedule, eventually placed on sick list without warrant or having been examined by an aeromedical professional, and ultimately illegally terminated in December 2003. 

 

He presently serves as director and international public spokesperson for a global grassroots effort called 9/11 Pilot Whistleblowers whose website is at 911pilots.org  and YouTube channel at 911pilots. The purpose of this organization is to show that there were no Muslim hijackers at the controls of the 9/11 aircraft but that the aircraft were electronically hijacked through employment of a system called the uninterruptible autopilot.”
